Claims Specialist Location: Pune (On-site) Education: Graduate Experience: 1-5 years Skills: Charge Posting, Medical Billing Role Overview: We are seeking a Claims Specialist with expertise in medical billing and charge posting. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of US healthcare medical billing rules, insurance guidelines, and payer portals to ensure seamless claims processing. Key Responsibilities: Accurately enter patient demographic information based on medical records. Perform charge entry as per documented procedures to ensure billing accuracy. Apply medical billing concepts and adhere to insurance guidelines (HMO, PPO, POS). Manage WC/Auto claims in compliance with insurance-specific policies. Post insurance and patient payments, ensuring accuracy, reconciliation, and compliance. Verify EFT deposits and scanned checks for proper financial reconciliation. Utilize payer portals to retrieve, analyze, and manage Explanation of Benefits (EOBs). Handle claim denials, rejections, and follow-ups to optimize revenue cycle management.
