Role & responsibilities Job Description: Core Skills : Azure and Hybrid Cloud Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing Azure and On-Prem environment , including infrastructure, services, configurations, and deployments. Analyze resource utilization, performance metrics, security posture, compliance adherence, and cost management strategies within Azure. hybrid connectivity (VPN, Fast Connect, Velocloud, firewall rules) Perform comprehensive analysis of legacy data with recommendations for retention, archival, and elimination of duplicates Identify potential risks, bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement across the Azure landscape. Develop detailed reports outlining assessment findings, observations, and prioritized recommendations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, security, and finance, to understand their requirements and constraints. Provide expert guidance and best practices for optimizing Azure environments based on industry standards and organizational needs. Potentially assist in the implementation of recommended changes and optimizations. Provide cost optimization recommendations. Update high-level design documentation. Submit gap analysis report against industry standards (CIS, NIST, ISO/IEC) Preferred candidate profile Preferred Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret performance data and identify root causes of issues. Experience with infrastructure monitoring and management tools Knowledge of security best practices and hardening guidelines for on-premise infrastructure components. Understanding of ITIL frameworks or other relevant IT management methodologies. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate technical findings to diverse audiences. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with cloud technologies and hybrid cloud concepts. Knowledge of data center infrastructure best practices
