Job Description

Role & responsibilities CMM Programming and Operation Develop and optimize CMM programs using [Insert Software, e.g., PC-DMIS, Zeiss CALYPSO]. Operate CMM to measure dimensions, tolerances, and features of manufactured parts per engineering drawings and GD&T standards. Maintain and update CMM programs for new and existing parts. 2. Inspection and Analysis Perform first article inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final inspections. Analyze and interpret CMM reports to determine conformance to specifications. Identify root causes of dimensional discrepancies and provide corrective actions. 3. Documentation and Reporting Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports and records. Communicate findings to engineering, production, and quality teams. Support documentation for audits and customer requirements. 4. Equipment Maintenance and Calibration Ensure CMM equipment is properly maintained and calibrated. Troubleshoot and resolve CMM-related technical issues. Coordinate with vendors for equipment upgrades or repairs when necessary. 5. Process Improvement Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce waste. 6. Compliance Ensure adherence to ISO 9001, AS9100, or other applicable standards. Support internal and external quality audits. Preferred candidate profile Education Bachelors degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. Experience 1+ years of experience in CMM programming and quality assurance in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in [Insert relevant CMM software]. Technical Skills Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Knowledge of blueprint reading and engineering drawings.
