Job Description

Role: Compliance Officer / Legal Compliance Specialist Key Responsibilities:Legal Research & Application: Study and interpret laws and regulations applicable to the company’s business operations, ensuring timely and accurate implementation across departments.Compliance System Ownership: Manage and improve the company’s compliance monitoring systems, ensuring efficient usage, reliability, and cross-functional adoption of compliance tools.Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with internal departments to promote a culture of compliance and support legal adherence in day-to-day operations.Regulatory Affairs & Risk Mitigation: Handle all matters related to regulatory compliance, including inspections, response to compliance notices, and managing enforcement actions.External Liaison: Coordinate with external legal counsel and advisors on compliance-related matters, ensuring alignment with best practices and legal requirements.Proactive Legal Programs: Assist the legal team in running compliance initiatives, monitor regulatory developments, and contribute to internal advocacy and awareness efforts. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):Deployment and maintenance of a fully functional, automated compliance reporting system.Achievement of zero compliance incidents or defaults, with measurable improvements in regulatory alignment. Qualifications:Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from a reputable institution.Strong academic record with a demonstrated ability to understand and apply complex legal frameworks.
