Job Description

Role & responsibilities We are hiring an experienced Construction Accountant to join our company. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing the accounts of various construction projects by creating detailed budgets, overseeing supplier contracts, evaluating production costs, and verifying invoice statements. Preferred Candidate Profile: Candidates having CMA degree with Construction Site experience will be preferred. A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field can also apply. A certification in construction accounting is preferred. A minimum of 3 year of experience in private or public accounting. Excellent knowledge of construction cost accounting and related financial procedures. Working knowledge of the construction industry. Solid analytical and mathematical skills. Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment. 1. Cost Management: Develop and maintain detailed project budgets, including labor, materials, overhead, and subcontractor costs. Monitor cash flow and ensure financial resources are used efficiently throughout the lifecycle of construction projects. 2. Cost Tracking & Forecasting: Track actual costs versus budgeted costs to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions. Provide detailed cost forecasts, financial projections, and variance reports to senior management. 3. Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, reports, and dashboards for construction projects. 4. Contract & Risk Management: Work with legal and procurement teams to manage financial aspects of vendor and contractor agreements. 5. Project Financial Support: Assist project managers with cost control, ensuring project expenditures are in line with the approved budget. 6. Internal Controls & Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including tax requirements. Support external audits and internal financial audits as needed.
