Job Title: Content Strategy Location: Kochi, India About the Role: We are seeking an experienced, creative, and insights-driven Senior Content Strategy professional to shape the future of its programming slate. This is a leadership role that will require deep knowledge of the Malayalam content landscape, strong strategic thinking, and the ability to translate audience insights and market trends into a compelling content roadmap. Key Responsibilities: Content Strategy & Planning Design and drive the short-term and long-term content strategy. Identify gaps, opportunities, and high-potential genres using data, insights, and market intelligence. Analyze performance of existing shows and campaigns to optimize programming decisions. Market & Audience Insights Deeply understand audience behavior, trends, and preferences in the Malayalam entertainment space. Study TRP reports, social media sentiment, and competitor programming to refine and evolve content strategy. Align content choices with emerging trends, festival calendars, regional tastes, and shifting audience preferences. Creative Collaboration Collaborate with programming heads, production teams, and creative partners to develop shows that match the channels vision. Ensure creative consistency while balancing commercial viability. Stakeholder Management Work closely with leadership, marketing, research, and ad sales to ensure the content pipeline supports both audience engagement and business objectives. Foster relationships with production houses, writers, and creators across the Malayalam content ecosystem. Preferred candidate profile Minimum 10+ years of experience in content strategy, programming, or content planning, preferably for a Malayalam TV channel, or production house. Strong understanding of the Malayalam entertainment ecosystem , cultural nuances, and content consumption trends. Proven ability to leverage insights and data to drive programming decisions. Strong creative judgment and a passion for visual storytelling. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Collaborative leadership style with the ability to guide cross-functional teams
