Job Description

Role & responsibilities Job Description: A post graduate degree (humanities/STMS). Perform review of edited STMS and/or humanities books/journal articles per client requirements; handle light and standard copyediting; review journals/books/material edited by freelancers and in-house editors, validate the edits, provide constructive feedback, and take accountability for the schedule and quality of projects assigned; coordinate with other members of the team as required. Preferred candidate profile 1. Copyediting (light and medium) humanities and STEM books/journals and adequate knowledge of style guides such the Chicago Manual of Style, APA, AMA, MLA, and Oxford Style Manual 2. Excellent English communication/writing/copyediting skills and a passion for reading, writing, and editing 3. Hands-on experience in reviewing copyedited files from in-house and freelance editors. Ability to share feedback and guide other editors. 4. Ability to work as a team player and as an individual contributor as necessary 5. Ability to adapt to publisher-specific guidelines 6.
