Responsibilities of a CT Testing Supervisor: Performing CT Tests: Supervisors conduct various tests, including ratio and phase angle tests, winding resistance measurements, and excitation characteristics measurements. Ensuring Safety: They must prioritize safety during testing by following proper procedures and using appropriate safety equipment. Interpreting Test Results: Supervisors analyze test data to determine if CTs are within acceptable limits and to identify any potential issues. Troubleshooting and Repair: They may be involved in troubleshooting CT problems and ensuring proper repairs or replacements. Documentation and Reporting: Supervisors maintain accurate records of tests performed and any findings or recommendations. Adhering to Standards: They must ensure all testing procedures and reports adhere to relevant international standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE). Equipment Maintenance: Supervisors may also be responsible for the maintenance and calibration of testing equipment. Key Skills for a CT Testing Supervisor: Electrical Engineering Knowledge: A strong understanding of electrical principles, especially related to transformers and power systems. Technical Skills: Proficiency in using CT testing equipment and instruments. Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose CT issues.
