The Civil Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the construction and maintenance of various infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of civil engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Responsibilities:Project Planning and Design: Conduct site investigations and analyze survey reports, maps, and other data to plan projects.Develop detailed engineering designs, plans, and specifications for various civil engineering projects (e.g., roads, bridges, water systems, drainage systems, buildings).Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools to create and modify designs.Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and project schedules.Construction Oversight: Monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.Conduct site inspections and quality control checks.Resolve technical issues and provide solutions to construction challenges.Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.Ensure project completion within budget and schedule.Technical Analysis and Reporting: Perform engineering calculations and analyses to assess structural integrity, hydraulic performance, and other design parameters.Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation.Review and approve shop drawings and material submittals.Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.Collaboration: Work closely with architects, surveyors, and other engineers to ensure project coordination.Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.Participate in team meetings and contribute to project discussions.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.Five years of experience in civil engineering (depending on the level of the position).Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred or required depending on the level of the position).Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and other engineering analysis tools.Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, materials, and construction methods.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Knowledge of relevant codes and regulations.Valid driver's license.
