Job Title: Data Analyst Job Summary: As a Data Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to identify and work with pre-built code/queries, make necessary modifications, and execute associated processes within an MS SQL database environment. Essential Job Functions: 30% Utilize existing database queries, scripts, and ETL processes based on defined technical requirements. 30% Leverage relational database concepts to evaluate, write, and modify simple to complex SQL queries. 15% Adhere to prescribed software development standards, processes, procedures, and methodologies as per departmental policies and conventions. 10% Communicate professionally with team members, project management, clients, and other stakeholders. 5% Accurately log time spent on project work and report accordingly. 10% Present technical information in an understandable manner to both technical and non-technical audiences, aiding in decision-making. Minimum Requirements: Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, a related discipline, or equivalent experience. Work Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience with MS SQL Server (2008 R2 or higher). Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and SQL-based queries. Experience with source control management. Experience in running and maintaining scheduled production queries/reports. Ability to create and modify simple SQL queries. Skills & Abilities: Moderate proficiency with MS SQL, including the ability to evaluate SQL statements involving multiple tables and joins. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines and shifting priorities. Experience with maintaining and modifying ETL processes and stored procedures. Proficient in utilizing SQL functions, user-defined functions, views, triggers, and other common database objects. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to adjust communication for the intended audience. Fluency in English.
