Job Purpose/ Summary* As an ETL Data Engineer, you will be a part of our dynamic Information Technology team. Your primary role will be to design, develop, and manage ETL pipelines, optimize data workflows, and ensure high data quality. Job Description* As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and organizing data, while also keeping an eye out for trends or inconsistencies that could impact business decisions. You will be a critical link between raw enterprise data and management, ensuring that data is clean, accurate, integrated, and reliable. You will work closely with stakeholders and IT teams to turn data into critical information that can be used to make sound business decisions. Principal Accountabilities* Design, construct, install, test, and maintain highly scalable data management systems. Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices. Build high-performance algorithms, prototypes, predictive models, and proof of concepts. Research opportunities for data acquisition and new uses for existing data. Develop data set processes for data modeling, mining, and production. Integrate new data management technologies and software engineering tools into existing structures. Create custom software components and analytics applications. Install and update disaster recovery procedures. Collaborate with data architects, modelers, and IT team members on project goals. Employ a variety of languages and tools to marry systems together. Recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality. Collaborate with data scientists and architects on several projects. Develop and maintain databases by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources, and build scripts that will make our data evaluation process more flexible or scalable across data sets. Implement measures to secure data such as anonymization and encryption. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and suggest solutions for new data-related problems and challenges. The role requires a strong understanding of data structures and algorithms, as well as a deep understanding of cloud-based data strategies, including those involving Azure Databricks, SQL, Database Design and Development, Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Data Management Tools, SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, Azure Data Factory. The candidate should also possess strong business acumen, a global mindset, entrepreneurship, and people excellence.
