We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineering Manager to lead the development and operations of our business-critical data pipelines. You will oversee a team of data engineers in NY while collaborating with analysts, data scientists, data partners, and clients. Your role will be a balance of leadership and hands-on contributions. Your work will be essential to the growth and success of our data platform, shaping its future direction. Key Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of data engineers in NYC while being based in India Work in overlapping hours with US Eastern Time (9 AM 1 PM ET) Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines. Collaborate with developers, analysts, and data scientists to drive the development of data-driven solutions. Oversee data warehouse operations to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance Manage and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for ingesting and processing large-scale datasets Define and enforce data governance, quality, and security best practices Track and manage SLAs, performance metrics, and data delivery goals Establish data management standards and conventions to ensure consistency across systems Qualifications & Experience 8+ years of proven experience in building, scaling, and operating data warehouse environments, such as Snowflake 2+ years experience managing a team of data engineers. Strong knowledge of data architecture and data management best practices Expertise in SQL and performance optimization techniques Proficiency in Python (experience with Jinja is a plus) Hands-on experience with ETL and ELT tools and frameworks Agile SDLC experience – Familiarity with iterative development and CI/CD best practices a plus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail Proactive, meticulous, and highly organized in managing projects and deliverables Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field What We Offer: Competitive compensation Employee medical coverage Central office location Entrepreneurial environment, autonomy, and fast decisions Casual work environment
