Role Overview: We are seeking exceptional physicists with a strong academic backgroundideally Professors or Assistant Professors in Physics from top Indian institutionsto shape the behavior and capabilities of cutting-edge large language models. In this role, you will design high-level simulations of how models should operate in the domain of physics, craft high-quality prompts and datasets, and create schemas that abstract physical problem-solving tasks. Your work will directly influence how AI systems understand, reason about, and solve physics-related challenges across educational, research, and applied settings. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Develop high-level simulations of expert physics problem-solving behavior. Design structured prompts, few-shot examples, and scaffolding to emulate reasoning in physics. Generate synthetic training data (e.g., problem-solution sets, conceptual explanations, physics dialogues). Define task schemas or ontologies capturing user intents in areas like classical mechanics, quantum physics, thermodynamics, or electromagnetism. Assist in fine-tuning and evaluating model outputs in physics-related tasks. Build evaluation scenarios that mimic real-world student queries, lab reports, or theoretical derivations. Design rubric-based scoring systems to assess conceptual correctness, reasoning depth, and calculation accuracy. Simulate multi-step problem-solving workflows involving physical laws, equations, and derivations. Requirements: Professors/Assistant Professors in Physics from premier Indian institutions.(IIT , BITS AND IISC ) Deep expertise in one or more subfields of physics (e.g., classical, quantum, thermodynamics). Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI-aided problem generation is a plus. Strong ability to craft educational and technical content in physics. Analytical mindset with a focus on simulation, abstraction, and precision. Interest in advancing AI's capabilities in scientific understanding and reasoning.
