Role & responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server & PostgreSQL databases Monitor performance, tune queries, and manage indexing Ensure database security, backups, and disaster recovery Support developers with schema design and optimization Automate routine maintenance tasks using T-SQL, PL/pgSQL, PowerShell, or Bash Assist in upgrades, cloud migrations, and performance troubleshooting Preferred candidate profile Skills & Technologies: Databases: SQL Server, PostgreSQL Scripting: T-SQL, PL/pgSQL, PowerShell, Bash Tools: SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), pgAdmin, Azure Data Studio Performance Monitoring: Query Analyzer, pg_stat_statements, SQL Profiler Security: Role-based access control (RBAC), Encryption, GDPR Compliance Backup & Recovery: pg_dump, pg_basebackup, SQL Server Agent Perks and benefits As per industry standards
