Functional Responsibilities 1) Install, configure, and manage SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB databases to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability. 2) Develop and implement comprehensive backup and recovery strategies, including disaster recovery (DR) planning, to safeguard data and ensure quick restoration in case of data loss or system failures. 3) Continuously monitor database performance, identifying bottlenecks and performance issues. Optimize queries, indexes, and partitions to enhance database efficiency and responsiveness. 4) Utilize scripting languages such as SQL, PowerShell, Python, and Bash to automate routine database tasks, streamline workflows, and reduce manual intervention. 5) Ensure database security by implementing best practices for access control, encryption, and vulnerability management.
