Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases in a highly available, secure, and optimized environment Perform database performance tuning and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance Monitor database health, capacity, and usage, ensuring proper backup and recovery strategies Implement database security measures, including access control and encryption protocols, to safeguard sensitive data Provide 24/7 support for critical Oracle database issues, with a focus on minimizing downtime and maintaining business continuity Manage database migrations, patches, and upgrades, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption to operations Work closely with developers to support application integration, optimize queries, and assist with SQL performance tuning Automate routine DBA tasks to improve operational efficiency using scripting and other tools Prepare detailed reports and documentation on database configurations, performance metrics, and issues Collaborate with the IT infrastructure team to ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and failover planning Stay up to date with Oracle technology trends and advancements, recommending improvements and innovations Required Qualifications: Oracle Certification (OCA or OCP) is mandator y Proven experience as an Oracle DBA, with a deep understanding of database administration principles, practices, and tools Strong knowledge of Oracle Database architecture, design, and configuration Expertise in Oracle Database performance tuning, query optimization, and problem- solving techniques Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and Golden Gate is highly preferred Proficiency in backup and recovery techniques, including RMAN and Oracle Data Pump Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible, Chef, or similar for database management Experience with high-availability and disaster recovery setups Strong skills in SQL, PL/SQL, and shell scripting Good understanding of Linux/Unix-based operating systems
