Manage SQL Server databases Configure and maintain database servers and processes Monitor database system's health and performance Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security Analyse, solve, and correct issues in real time Provide suggestions for solutions Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement Writing T-SQL complex scripts, stored procedures, database functions, report writing, best practices (optimization, use of joins and subqueries), design and develop ETL processes utilising custom code, SSIS, SSAS & SSRS Code review and performance tuning of complex queries, procedures. Analyse and monitor multiple mission critical existing systems capabilities running with SQL Server, automate data solutions, implement best practices for data movement and preparation across ETL, database/ data warehouse Troubleshoot and resolve any database related issues (performance/waits/bottlenecks, connectivity, backups, and environment). Research & Develop new and improved strategies and processes to help enhance the data environment. Maintains database performance by anticipating/identifying and resolving production and application development problems; evaluating, integrating, and installing new releases. Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours This job requires the constant awareness of the compliance risks we face in day-to-day responsibilities.
