Database SQL Developer

Job Description

Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of databases, ensuring high levels of performance, availability, and security. Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries to support application development and reporting. Collaborate with the development team to integrate databases with applications, ensuring seamless data flow and efficient data storage. Perform routine database maintenance tasks such as backups, indexing, and monitoring to ensure database health. Help identify, troubleshoot, and resolve database-related issues, including performance bottlenecks. Support the migration of databases and assist with database-related cloud architecture setup. Contribute to the documentation of database systems, processes, and best practices. Assist with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to import/export data between systems. Qualifying skills 2-3 years of experience in a database engineering or similar role. Proficiency in SQL (Structured Query Language) for querying and managing relational databases. Basic understanding of MSSQL, MySQL , and/or other relational databases. Familiarity with cloud database technologies (AWS RDS, BigQuery, etc.) is a plus but not mandatory. Hands-on experience with database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization . Ability to understand and write basic stored procedures , triggers , and views . Understanding of database security principles (e.g., user access control, encryption). Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and working in a collaborative, team-based environment. Basic knowledge of ETL processes and tools is desirable. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. Preferred : Exposure to any NoSQL or Cloud databases like Monogodb, Aurora , Bigquery, Redshift Experience with database monitoring tools like PMM, New Relic , or Datadog . Basic experience with Powershell or C# for automation and scripting. Experience with DevOps practices and working in a CI/CD environment.
