Amity University, Kolkata is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and visionary leader to serve as the Dean of the Engineering Department, specifically focusing on the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) program. Key Responsibilities : 1. Lead and oversee the CSE department, ensuring high-quality teaching, research, and industry collaboration. 2. Ensure the continuous improvement of the curriculum, ensuring it meets industry standards and aligns with emerging technologies and trends. 3. Contribute to the universitys strategic planning process and provide input into the long-term goals of the CSE department. 4. Foster an environment of professional development and continuous learning for faculty members, staff members, and students. 5. Ensure that students have access to high-quality learning experiences, including a robust curriculum, extracurricular opportunities, and career services. 6. Promote and support faculty and student research initiatives in cutting-edge areas of computer science and engineering. 7. Ensure that the department meets all necessary accreditation and regulatory standards, maintaining and improving the quality of education provided. 8. Manage the departments budget effectively, ensuring the optimal allocation of resources to support teaching, research, and infrastructure development. Qualifications and Requirements: Must have handled the leadership role for 2-3 years. Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field from a reputed institution. Minimum of 10 years of teaching and research experience in higher education, with at least2-5 years in a leadership or administrative role within an academic environment.
