Job Description : We are seeking a qualified Deputy Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager with 10-15 years of experience in handling government construction projects (residential, infrastructure, or institutional buildings). The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing execution, compliance with specifications, and coordination with government authorities and contractors. Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs) – Deputy Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and monitoring all phases of construction activities. Supervise daily site operations and ensure adherence to schedule, cost, and quality benchmarks. Act as a bridge between project stakeholders including clients, consultants, engineers, and site teams. Review technical drawings, ensure timely execution, and report progress to the Project Manager. Coordinate procurement of materials and ensure timely availability at site. Track work progress and support preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports. Conduct site inspections for quality checks and compliance with safety standards. Monitor subcontractor performance and escalate delays or issues proactively. Support preparation of billing documentation, measurement books, and client submissions. Ensure timely labour deployment and coordinate with the Project Manager for payment approvals. Required Skills : Strong knowledge of CPWD/ PWD specifications, government contract procedures. Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, Excel. Strong communication and documentation skills. Ability to handle multiple site operations and lead a team. Qualifications : B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering. 10-15 years of relevant experience in handling government projects. Preferred Candidates : Experience with CPWD, MES, NBCC, PWD, or other government clients . Familiarity with tender documentation, contract management, and billing.
