Design Engineer

Job Description

Product DevelopmentResponsibilities: Product Conceptualization and Design: Generate and evaluate product concepts based on market research and customer needs. Develop detailed design specifications, including 3D models, 2D drawings, and technical documentation. Utilize CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor) to create and modify designs. Prototype Development and Testing: Build and test prototypes to validate design concepts and identify potential issues. Conduct design reviews and iterate on designs based on test results and feedback. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are manufacturable. Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA): Optimize designs for efficient and cost-effective manufacturing and assembly. Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes. Develop and maintain design standards and guidelines. Product Improvement and Optimization: Analyze product performance and identify areas for improvement. Implement design changes to enhance product functionality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies.
