Job Description: We are looking for a highly skilled Designer (Grey Woven) with expertise in textile designing and product development. The role involves designing and developing innovative grey woven fabric designs, staying ahead of market trends, and ensuring the feasibility of bulk production. Key Responsibilities: New Product Development: Design and develop new grey woven fabric patterns based on market trends and customer requirements. Market & Trend Research: Collect and analyze developments from other mills and markets to create seasonal collections based on fabric quality, finish, and trending color shades. Customer & Brand Engagement: Present new fabric developments to customers, brands, and buying houses, highlighting the uniqueness of each product. Customized Fabric Development: Create fabric designs as per customer requirements, considering weight, weave, structure, and yarn counts. On-Loom Sampling: Develop new samples on running looms by modifying weave or yarn count. Warp Sheet Utilization: Maximize product development in a single warp sheet by experimenting with shade variations, weight, and fabric blends. Sample Development: Develop samples on sample looms and ensure feasibility for bulk production. Technical Expertise: Operate and manage sampling machinery and equipment efficiently. Sales Tools & Presentation: Create fabric folders, hangers, and sales tools for effective client presentations. Fabric Testing Knowledge: Ensure quality control by understanding and managing various fabric testing parameters and equipment. Candidate Profile: Experience: Minimum 8 years in textile designing with expertise in grey woven fabrics. Technical Skills: Proficiency in the latest fabric designing technology. Strong knowledge of different yarn types and their impact on fabric quality. Familiarity with textile CAD software (e.g., TexCAD) is preferred. Basic understanding of fabric processing, especially Lycra blend fabrics, in terms of stretch, width, and shrinkage. Ability to create innovative and unique fabric designs consistently. Market Awareness: Exposure to current market trends in fabric design. Segment Understanding: Knowledge of fabric design for different segments such as mens wear (top and bottom), womens wear, and kids wear. Educational Qualification: UG: Bachelor's Degree in Textile Designing or equivalent (NIFT candidates preferred). PG: Not required. Compensation: Salary based on experience and skills.
