Role Overview: We are looking for a proactive and technically strong Kubernetes & Rancher Administrator to manage and maintain our container orchestration infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in setting up and managing Rancher and Kubernetes (K8s) clusters, especially on on-premises /bare metal environments . The role also involves automation, troubleshooting, and participating in a rotational support schedule. Key Responsibilities: Manage, maintain , and upgrade Rancher clusters across on-premises environments. Set up and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters , particularly with Rancher on bare metal infrastructure. Write and maintain shell scripts to automate Kubernetes and system-related tasks. Monitor, analyze, and resolve issues in Rancher and K8s environments. Participate in rotational shifts (up to 1 AM) for system support and maintenance. Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure system reliability and performance. Take full ownership of tasks and drive them to completion. Required Skills: Strong hands-on experience with Rancher , including setup, upgrade, and troubleshooting of Rancher clusters. In-depth knowledge and operational experience with Kubernetes (K8s) . Proficiency in shell scripting for task automation and K8s operations. Solid experience working in on-premises environments, preferably bare metal setups. Ability to independently own and deliver tasks in a fast-paced environment. Good to Have: Experience with Puppet Experience with Ansible.
