Devops Lead

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Lead to oversee and manage our DevOps practices and ensure seamless integration and delivery for large-scale applications. This role requires a strong background in cloud infrastructure, scripting, build and release management, and container technologies, with a focus on collaboration across diverse teams. Key Responsibilities: Infrastructure Management : Design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure on AWS/GCP for large-scale engineering products. Automation : Automate deployment pipelines using Jenkins and other CI/CD tools, ensuring efficient release management and continuous integration. Scripting & Configuration Management : Write and maintain Shell and Python scripts for various DevOps automation tasks. Implement and manage configuration management tools like Ansible , Chef , or Puppet . Linux Systems Management : Manage and maintain Linux systems , ensuring optimal performance and security. Containerization : Architect and implement containerized solutions using Docker and Kubernetes for scalable and reliable applications. Collaboration & Communication : Work closely with software engineers, data scientists, and product managers to align development processes, enhance productivity, and resolve system issues. Monitoring & Logging : Implement monitoring and logging systems using tools like ELK (ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana) , ensuring high system reliability and performance. Big Data Systems : Support and maintain Big Data environments, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance across Hadoop ecosystems and other distributed systems. Continuous Improvement : Drive improvements in system performance, security, and automation processes in a high-paced startup environment. Qualifications Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline. Experience : 5 to 12 years of relevant work experience in DevOps or a similar role. Proven track record of building and shipping large-scale engineering products. Strong experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP). Expertise in Shell , Python , or any other scripting languages. In-depth experience with Linux systems , Jenkins , and build/release tools. Effective communication skills (both written and verbal) to collaborate with diverse teams. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience in the Big Data domain, including architecting, implementing, and maintaining Big Data solutions. Expertise in the Hadoop ecosystem : HDFS, MapReduce, Oozie, Hive, Impala, Spark, Kerberos, KAFKA, etc. Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes . Experience in working with configuration management systems (e.g., Ansible , Chef , Puppet ). Knowledge of distributed Big Data systems such as InfluxDB , Elasticsearch , or Cassandra .
