Devops Manager

Job Description

Required Qualifications - Overall 10 to 16 yrs work experience off which 8+ years of experience in DevOps, with at least 3 years in a management role - Proven track record of building and operating production-grade Kubernetes platforms - Deep understanding of container technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native architectures - Experience implementing and managing developer productivity tools and metrics - Strong background in automation, infrastructure as code, and site reliability engineering - Demonstrated success in leading technical teams and managing stakeholder relationships - Experience with agile methodologies and project management - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to balance technical debt with business needs Leadership Competencies - Strong mentorship and coaching abilities to develop team members' technical and soft skills - Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to various audiences - Strategic thinking with a focus on long-term platform scalability and sustainability - Proven ability to influence and drive consensus across multiple teams - Experience in recruitment, performance management, and career development - Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and make data-driven decisions Key Responsibilities : - Lead and mentor a team of platform engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement - Oversee the development, operation, and evolution of our developer platforms, focusing on container orchestration with Kubernetes - Collaborate with architecture teams and product management to inform platform decisions that enhance developer experience - Partner with development teams to understand their needs and optimize the developer experience - Establish and track meaningful metrics to measure and improve developer productivity across the organization - Manage team priorities, resource allocation, and project delivery while maintaining high operational standards - Build strong relationships across engineering teams to ensure platform solutions meet organizational needs - Facilitate technical design reviews and contribute insights on platform utilization best practices - Help define and drive the platform engineering roadmap in collaboration with stakeholders
