Job Role : We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant Manager to oversee and manage the accounting functions for our company. This role will be responsible for supervising the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and providing insights for decision-making. The Accountant Manager will also play a crucial role in internal controls, budgeting, and improving processes. Key Responsibilities : Financial Reporting: Preparing and analyzing financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements). Ensuring accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Generating monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Accounting Operations Management: Overseeing day to-day accounting activities, including: Accounts Payable (AP): Managing vendor invoices, payments, and expense tracking. Accounts Receivable (AR): Managing customer invoices, collections, and revenue recognition. Implementing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures. Managing month-end and year-end closing processes. Reconciliation: Performing regular reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assisting in the development and monitoring of budgets. Forecasting financial performance and identifying variances. Compliance and Auditing: Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Coordinating and supporting internal and external audits. Team Management: Supervising and mentoring accounting staff. Assigning tasks and monitoring performance. Providing training and development opportunities. Financial Analysis: Analyzing financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Providing insights and recommendations to management. Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in accounting or finance is typically required. Masters degree or CPA certification is often preferred. Experience: Proven experience in accounting, with several years in a supervisory or management role. Skills: Strong knowledge of GAAP. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
