Director IT – Product Lead Commercial Apps

Job Description

My client is a a global analytical services and solutions provider with offerings including the leading OneSource Field and Laboratory services business that serve the biopharma, food, environmental, safety and applied end markets to accelerate scientific outcomes serving customers across 35 countries. They are seeking a seasoned and visionary IT Applications Leader to drive the strategic direction, delivery excellence, and innovation for our commercial applications stack and closely coupled with SAP ERP and other business applications. This position will be based in our delivery hub in Pune, India. This role will own the end-to-end application landscape focused Salesforce, ServiceMax, eCommerce platform, OneSource and many more. The role involves having good experience of architecture, implementation, enhancements, and operational stability—and will partner closely with business leadership to shape technology solutions that drive revenue growth, process optimization, and digital transformation. Your primary responsibility will be to drive transformation, innovation, and create additional revenue streams by leveraging technology, while ensuring stable day-to-day services with high reliability. Key Responsibilities: Service Ownership & Operational Excellence  Accountable for stable, reliable, and secure operations across all enterprise applications, ensuring adherence to defined SLAs and KPIs. Implement robust IT Service Management (ITSM) processes for incident management, change control, and problem resolution. Drive proactive monitoring and continuous service improvements for critical enterprise applications. Own and manage product roadmap and application lifecycle planning, including upgrades, patches, compliance audits, and end-of-life transitions.Business Relationship Management Serve as trusted advisor to senior leadership in business functions using solutions like Salesforce, ServiceMax, eCommerce, CPQ, EBX, Onesource etc ensuring IT solutions align with functional needs and business strategies. Facilitate regular business reviews to capture evolving requirements, share technology updates, and solicit feedback. Foster a collaborative and transparent partnership between IT and business units to maximize business value from technology investments. Innovation, Automation & Transformation  Identify opportunities to drive process automation, data transparency, and self-service capabilities within the enterprise functions. Champion the adoption of emerging technologies (AI/ML, RPA, advanced analytics) where they add measurable business value. Evaluate and lead cloud migrations, integration platform adoption (e.g., Boomi), and process reengineering initiatives. Lead efforts to harmonize global processes through technology standardization across regions. Vendor & Partner Management  Manage relationships with strategic vendors across the enterprise applications landscape, ensuring strong performance, innovation contributions, and commercial value. Establish a structured vendor governance framework, including regular performance reviews, contract negotiations, and joint innovation initiatives. Stay abreast of industry trends, technology advances, and best practices to continuously evolve the application portfolio. Required Qualifications & Experience  Bachelor`s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 15+ years of experience in IT Applications leadership roles, with significant focus on Salesforce, CPQ, ServiceMax and eCommerce strategic initiatives level to managing large programs Demonstrated track record of owning delivery responsibility for commercial solutions and their integration to MDM and SAP Strong knowledge of business process supporting ecommerce, salesforce and field services Certification in ITIL, PMP, or equivalent frameworks. Familiarity with integration platforms like Boomi to enable seamless cross-system data flow. Experience managing global service delivery teams across onshore and offshore models. Proven expertise in IT governance, service management (ITIL), project delivery (Agile/Waterfall), and vendor management.
