Job Description : G H Raisoni College Of Engineering And Management, Pune is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Physical Education and Sports to lead and enhance our comprehensive sports and fitness programs. The successful candidate will be instrumental in fostering a vibrant sports culture, promoting physical well-being, and developing student-athletes to their full potential. This is a key leadership role responsible for the planning, execution, and management of all sports-related activities within the college. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive physical education and sports curriculum for all students. Strategize and execute plans for inter-college, intra-college, and university-level sports events and competitions. Manage and maintain all sports facilities, ensuring their optimal use and safety. Promote student participation in a wide range of sports and fitness activities. Identify and nurture athletic talent, providing opportunities for skill development and competitive exposure. Ensure compliance with all relevant sports regulations, safety standards, and university guidelines. Foster strong relationships with students, faculty, staff, and external sports organizations. Implement innovative programs to promote health, wellness, and a balanced lifestyle among students. Prepare reports and presentations on sports activities, achievements, and future plans. Qualifications: M.P.Ed in Physical Education, Sports Management, or a related field. Ph.D. preferred. Proven track record of organizing successful sports events and managing sports facilities. Strong understanding of various sports disciplines and their respective rules and regulations. Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to motivate and inspire students and staff. Knowledge of sports psychology, nutrition, and injury prevention is a plus. Proficiency in using technology for sports management and communication.
