Lets do it together. www.aakshya.com We are seeking an accomplished and dynamic Project Director to lead the end-to-end execution of a major airport construction project in India. As a senior leader within a private EPC firm, you will be accountable for the timely and cost-effective delivery of the project, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, compliance, and stakeholder satisfaction. This high-impact role requires deep technical expertise, strong commercial acumen, and proven leadership in large-scale aviation or infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning & Strategy: Lead all phases of the airport project from initiation to closure Define the project scope, milestones, delivery schedules, and resource plans in alignment with client and company goals. Coordinate with design, engineering, construction, and regulatory teams Develop and implement detailed execution strategies (EPC, design-build, etc.) for civil, structural, MEP, and airside works. Execution & Delivery Oversight Lead the execution of all project phasesdesign validation, procurement, construction, testing & commissioningensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Monitor progress using project management tools (Primavera/MS Project) and drive corrective actions when needed. Job Description for a Project Director Airport (AIPPL) Client & Stakeholder Management: Ensure project compliance with ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) and local aviation regulations Act as the primary interface with the client (airport operator/government/private consortium), consultants, and statutory authorities (e.g., AAI, DGCA, MOEF). Coordinate with JV partners, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure integrated project delivery. Report regularly to senior management and stakeholders Financial Control & Risk Management: Monitor progress, financials, and risk Manage budgets (typically 1,000 crore and above), cash flows, and project P&L. Review and approve vendor/contractor packages and change orders. Identify project risks and implement robust mitigation strategies. Team Leadership & Coordination: Build, lead, and manage a large project team including construction managers, engineering heads, planners, HSE, QA/QC, and support staff. Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and excellence across the project site. Compliance & Quality: Ensure full compliance with safety standards, legal regulations, environmental norms, and EPC contract obligations. Oversee implementation of QA/QC plans and obtain necessary clearances and certifications (runway trials, ORAT, etc.). Required Qualifications & Experience: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management; Masters degree/MBA or PMP certification is a plus ¢ Minimum 25 years of experience in infrastructure construction, with at least 10 years in aviation/airport projects. ¢ Prior leadership experience on EPC contracts involving terminals, runways, taxiways, ATC towers, or related airport systems. ¢ Deep familiarity with Indian regulatory frameworks (AAI, DGCA, MoEFlaborur laws). ¢ Track record of delivering projects exceeding 1,000 crore in budget. Desired Skills: ¢ Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities. ¢ Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills. ¢ Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD, and ERP systems (SAP preferred). ¢ Fluent in English; knowledge of Hindi and/or regional languages is a plus. ¢ Compensation & Benefits: ¢ Industry-competitive package with performance incentives. ¢ Long-term career path within a growing EPorganizationon.
