Take medical histories and perform physical examinations to assess patients' health status. Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood tests, X-rays, and MRIs. Prescribe medications, treatments, and therapies to alleviate symptoms and promote healing. Advise patients on preventive health practices and lifestyle changes to maintain or improve their health. Consult with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses, physician assistants, and specialists, to coordinate care for patients. Keep detailed and accurate medical records and documentation of patient care.
