Job Title Domain Architect CPQ/COM (Telecom) Division/Business Unit/Team EB IT Reporting to (job title) Associate Director Location Offshore Job Level or Remuneration Range Approved by HRBP (Name) POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking an experienced Domain Architect specializing in CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote), COM (Customer Order Management) and Commercial Analysis solutions within the telecommunications sector. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing scalable solutions tailored to telecom-specific challenges, including product catalog complexity, bundling, and real-time service provisioning. This role is pivotal in enhancing customer experiences, streamlining order management, and driving innovation in the telecom domain. This is a strategic role with delivery influence and architecture authority across CPQ/COM domains. You’ll be working closely with C-level stakeholders, product owners, and engineering leads to drive innovation and digital transformation in telecom BSS. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES As a Domain Architect , you will play a crucial role in the high-level design and low level design lifecycle. Strategic Leadership Define and implement architectural roadmaps for CPQ/COM aligned with digital business strategies. Influence transformation initiatives across pricing, bundling, and order orchestration. Solution Design and Architecture Design scalable, high-performance CPQ/COM architectures addressing telecom-specific needs (e.g., bundling, provisioning, SLA-driven fulfillment). Ensure compliance with TMF ODA and Open APIs. Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and meet business requirements. Technology Expertise Apply hands-on experience with platforms like Amdocs, Netcracker, Salesforce CPQ. Lead integration with OSS/BSS systems and cloud-native components. Collaboration Engage with business and technical stakeholders to drive cross-domain solutioning. Provide technical guidance to Technical Business Analysts and Technical Product Owners on work assigned to Engineering. Align architecture delivery with development, testing, and operations teams. Governance Participate and showcase in architecture reviews, define governance frameworks, and enforce best practices. Ensure alignment with industry standards (eTOM, TMF, MEF). Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities for automation and modernization. Track telecom advancements like 5G, IoT, and network slicing for architectural adoption. Mentorship and Leadership Mentor Mid-level & Senior Engineers, providing guidance and support. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment. Problem Solving React to production incidents within SLAs. Provide multiple viable solutions with clearly articulated advantages and disadvantages. QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED Proficiency levels: Foundational/Proficient/Advanced/Expert Criteria Proficiency Must/Nice-to-have Education Bachelor's or Master’s in Computer Science, IT, or Telecom Must Industry Experience 7+ years in IT architecture, 3+ in telecom CPQ/COM Must Domain Expertise Telecom CPQ/COM Solution Design/Architecture, OSS/BSS Integration Must Tools & Platforms Amdocs, Netcracker, Salesforce CPQ, Ericsson, custom OSS/BSS Must Standards & Frameworks TOGAF, TM Forum, eTOM, Open APIs Must Tech Stack Familiarity APIs, Microservices, Cloud (AWS/Azure), Middleware Must Emerging Tech 5G, IoT, Network Slicing Nice Methodologies Agile/Scrum, DevOps, CI/CD Nice Proficiency Must/Nice to-have Behavioral Customer Focused Prioritizes customer needs and satisfaction. Gathers and analyses customer feedback. Develops solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations. Maintains strong relationships with customers.
