Job Summary: The Draughtsman (AutoCAD) will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and layouts using AutoCAD for MEP projects. This role involves working closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely completion of drawings. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare detailed MEP drawings using AutoCAD software based on design specifications. • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop layout designs for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. • Update and revise drawings as required during the project lifecycle. • Ensure compliance with project standards, codes, and regulations. • Maintain accurate records of drawings and ensure proper documentation. • Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to resolve design conflicts. • Conduct site visits to verify drawings against actual construction. • Assist in preparing as-built drawings upon project completion. Qualifications and Experience: • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering or relevant field. • Middle East experience preferred • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other drafting software. • 3+ years of experience in MEP drafting, preferably in the construction or property management sector. • Strong understanding of MEP systems and construction methods. • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities. Preferred Skills: • Experience with Revit MEP or BIM software is a plus (with a higher pay). • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, NEC). • Knowledge of property management or building maintenance projects.
