Role & responsibilities 1. Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance:• Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for all machinery and utilities.• Ensure prompt troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems in case of breakdowns.• Maintain records of all maintenance activities, including downtime analysis.2. Equipment & Machinery Management:• Oversee the maintenance of bakery ovens, mixers, proofers, slicers, packaging machines, conveyors, and utility equipment (boilers, compressors, chillers).• Monitor spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement to prevent production delays.• Work closely with vendors and service providers for AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts) and specialized repairs.3. Compliance & Safety:• Ensure all maintenance work adheres to food safety standards (FSSAI, HACCP, ISO, GMP) and factory safety guidelines.• Conduct regular safety audits and training for the maintenance team.• Maintain statutory compliance for electrical and mechanical equipment as per government regulations.4. Team Management & Coordination:• Lead a team of technicians, fitters, and electricians, assigning tasks and ensuring efficient execution.• Collaborate with the production team to minimize downtime and optimize machine efficiency.• Train and upskill team members on new technologies and best practices in maintenance.5. Continuous Improvement:• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance machine efficiency and reduce energy consumption.• Work on automation and Industry 4.0 initiatives for predictive maintenance.Preferred candidate profile Expertise in preventive & breakdown maintenance of bakery machinery.• Knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen.• Ability to handle electrical panels, VFDs, PLC troubleshooting, and automation systems.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Leadership abilities to manage a team of technicians and maintenance staff.Perks and benefits
