Job Description

EHS Admin Officer Department : Admin & Facilities (BPAE810) Key Responsibilities: Act as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies during inspections or audits. Safety Compliance Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures in compliance with legal requirements. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and mitigate workplace hazards. Ensure all safety equipment is maintained and functioning properly. Environmental Management Monitor and manage environmental compliance, such as waste disposal, pollution control, and sustainability initiatives. Oversee environmental permits and ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct environmental impact assessments and implement corrective actions when needed. Health Programs Design and promote health and wellness programs for employees. Ensure the organization adheres to occupational health standards. Investigate and address workplace health issues, such as ergonomic risks and air quality concerns. Training and Awareness Conduct EHS-related training sessions for employees and management. Develop awareness programs to cultivate a safety-first culture. Provide onboarding EHS training for new hires. Incident Management Investigate workplace accidents, injuries, and near-misses to determine causes and prevent recurrences. Maintain detailed records of incidents and report them to regulatory authorities as required. Develop and oversee emergency response plans. Documentation and Reporting Maintain records of safety inspections, audits, permits, and other compliance documentation. Prepare and submit regular reports on EHS performance metrics. Track and analyze safety trends to recommend improvements. Collaboration with Stakeholders Work closely with various departments, contractors, and vendors to ensure EHS compliance. Qualifications: Educational Background Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health, Safety Management, Engineering, or a related field. Certifications Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, ISO 14001, or ISO 45001 are often preferred or required. Experience 5-7 years of experience in EHS management, preferably in the industry related to the employer (e.g., manufacturing, construction, oil and gas). Skills And Attributes Strong knowledge of local and international EHS regulations. Excellent communication and training skills. Attention to detail and analytical skills for risk assessment and mitigation. Proficiency in reporting and documentation software. Leadership and teamwork abilities to collaborate across departments. Work Environment Office-based with frequent visits to operational areas, including manufacturing units, construction sites, or field locations. May involve travel to multiple locations, depending on the organization’s size and structure. Requires physical fitness to conduct inspections and audits in challenging environments.
