Job Description

Job Title: Electrical Engineer - HT/LT, Substation Erection & Commissioning (11kV/33kV) Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the erection, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of 11kV/33kV substations, as well as HT (High Tension) and LT (Low Tension) electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background, hands-on experience in substation projects, and a commitment to safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Substation Erection & Commissioning Supervise and manage the installation, testing, and commissioning of 11kV/33kV substations. Review technical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and project specifications. Conduct pre-commissioning checks and ensure all systems are installed as per design. HT/LT System Management Oversee the installation and maintenance of HT and LT Line transformer. Perform cable laying, jointing, and termination for HT and LT Line. Quality Assurance & Compliance Ensure adherence to safety standards during all phases of the project. Conduct routine inspections and testing of equipment to meet quality standards. Document and report on commissioning activities and ensure regulatory compliance.(MSEDCL) Team Coordination & Client Interaction Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and clients to ensure timely project execution. Train and supervise junior engineers and technicians. Provide technical support and updates to stakeholders. Qualifications Education Diploma/Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Experience 3–7 years of hands-on experience in substation erection, commissioning, and HT/LT systems. Technical Skills Knowledge of earthing systems, surge protection, and transformer installations. Soft Skills Strong project management and organizational skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Key Competencies Understanding of electrical safety protocols and hazard management. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and design documents. Hands-on experience with testing tools like Megger, volt meter.
