Role Summary The Electrical Technician will be responsible for the installation, assembly, maintenance, troubleshooting, and after-sales support of smart automation systems and general electrical services for residential and commercial projects. This role is vital in executing smart home automation and other electrical solutions that meet modern industry standards and client expectations. Key Responsibilities 1. General Responsibilities Read and interpret electrical blueprints, technical drawings, and circuit diagrams. Perform general electrical maintenance and troubleshooting. Calculate and understand electrical load requirements and ensure compliance. Install, maintain, and repair electrical and electronic systems and equipment. Work on lighting, control, and communication systems across homes, offices, and industrial setups. Coordinate with project teams, supervisors, and site electricians. 2. Project Execution Supervise and assist in wiring smart devices ensuring network compatibility (Wi-Fi, Zigbee, Z-Wave, etc.). Install smart home devices including: Smart touch panels Insert modules Motion and environmental sensors HVAC and geyser controls Digital door locks Configure and integrate devices with automation platforms and hubs. Ensure proper system testing, network connectivity, and functional performance. Customize app interfaces and provide user training. Ensure installation is done as per electrical safety and company standards. 3. After-Market Support Provide technical support for system-related issues post-installation. Assist with configuration changes and adding new devices. Conduct regular system health checks and maintenance. Address hardware/network issues and update software/firmware as needed. Ensure cybersecurity best practices and implement security updates. Guide customers on optimal system usage and data privacy. Educational Qualifications Diploma or ITI in Electrical/Electronics. Basic knowledge of network communication. Hands-on skills with electrical tools and safety protocols. Certifications in smart home technologies (e.g., KNX, Crestron, Lutron, Control4) are a plus. Skills & Competencies Strong technical knowledge in electrical/electronic systems. Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
