Electronics Development Engineer Required qualification: Bachelor (Master is also fine) in Electronics Required Experience: 5-8 years Designation: Sr. Engineer / Technical Specialist Management Level: L6 / L5 Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electronics Development Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics development, particularly in rail applications, and will be adept at managing obsolescence, circuit design, and PCB design. Key Responsibilities: Independent Work: Demonstrate an independent and proactive approach to work. Professional Experience: Extensive experience in rail applications and relevant standards (e.g., EN50155, EN50121-3-2) or similar fields such as automotive. Expertise in electronics development, including obsolescence management, circuit design, and PCB design. Basic knowledge of hardware-related software development in C, ideally using MPLAB for PIC Microcontrollers. Software Proficiency: Windchill: Experience with Windchill or similar central database systems. Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation purposes. Circuit Simulation and PCB Design: Basic experience with tools such as Eagle, KiCAD, Altium Designer, or similar. Additional Skills: Experience with PTC Creo is a plus. Experience with ELCAD or Engineering Base is a plus. Key Tasks: Documentation: Develop, edit, and adapt product documentation. Create product datasheets based on information from test reports. Documentation and implementation of change request tickets in the PLM system. - Obsolescence Management of existing products Electronics Development: Adapt existing electronics and develop new electronics. Development according to Railway standards (e.g EN50155) Identify and replace obsolete electronic parts, define required steps for replacement, and ensure qualification. Implement small changes in existing designs and manage whole development projects. Convert old PCB designs from other tools to standard company tool. Optionally: small software adaption, documentation and test. Optionally: Create and edit wiring diagrams. Skills: Fluent in English Hands-on mentality Enjoys to work with a global engineering, purchasing and manufacturing team
