Job Title : Embedded Engineering Manager Location : Gurgaon work from office Reports To : [Director of Engineering / VP of Engineering] Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Embedded Engineering Manager to lead our team of embedded and hardware systems engineers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded systems development, hardware design and development process, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for driving innovative solutions. This role involves overseeing the development of embedded software and hardware solutions, managing project timelines, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality products. Key Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of embedded systems engineers and hardware engineers. Provide guidance on technical issues, career development, and performance management. Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of embedded systems projects. Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery. Provide technical leadership and expertise in embedded systems design and development. Review and approve engineering designs, code, and documentation. Ensure adherence to best practices, standards, and regulatory requirements. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices. Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including product managers, senior management, and external partners. Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively. Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience : 8+ years of experience in embedded systems development, with exposure to managerial or leadership role. Technical Skills: Proficiency in embedded systems programming languages (e.g., C/C++, assembly) on various microcontrollers and microprocessor families. Experience with hardware design and interfacing (e.g., microcontrollers, sensors, actuators). Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and development tools. Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of engineers. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Additional Skills: Experience in automotive, telecommunications or industrial IoT is a plus. Knowledge of product certifications like FCC, UL etc. is a plus.
