Job Description

The Embedded Software Architect is responsible for all software architectural design for all Garrett EProduct. He will be leading the software architecture considering the stakeholders requirements, reusability, hardware resources constraints, development methodology, standards and processes for the automotive embedded software. Key Job Areas of Responsibilities 1. Differentiated technology : a. Understand the industry trend and familiar with automotive software technologies b. constantly research, evaluate and protoype new solutions. c. Define and align the Software architecture with the software roadmaps and other functions (HW, Motor, Products, Labs) 2. Product development: a. Own the software architecture activities across different products and projects and ensure the correct deployment. b. Ensure a high modularity, reuse of components and Software platform development and maintenance c. Support software developers by providing advices and guidance on technical and architectural design choices. d. Support Softawre Leads in detailing software requirements specifications for the software features and assessing the impact on the software architecture and detailed design. e. Review technical designs, code for conformance to development standards, appropriate design choices. f. Provide technical expertise in terms of software usage, functionality, performance, reuse and technological trade-offs. 3. Standardization a. Assist in defining architectural and design standards to be implemented across all development teams. b. Support in definition, implementing and deploying of new methods, tools or processes. Qualification : Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field Experience : 8+ years automotive software development work experience in Multiple National Companies Key Skills and Knowledge : 'Strong knowledge in software architecture across different product platforms considering all layers of software using in-house and/or AUTOSAR architecture Strong knowledge in real-time embedded software, multi-core microcontrollers (IFx TC3x..), compilers and debuggers. Strong ability to understand microcontroller hardware and associated schematics Experience in Model Based Design, integrating hardware and software using protocols (SPI, DMA..), serial communication protocal (CAN/CANFD). Experience in Automotive SPICE, Safety Standard ISO 26262 and cyber security ISO 21434 (preferred) Demonstrated bias for action/initiative, customer focus, and a strong capability to lead in a team environment. Proven problem solving skills, including ability to interpret data, define actions, and implement solutions Ability to coach and mentor team members. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
