Role : EMC Simulation Engineer Location : Cochin Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented EMC Simulation Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) simulations, proficiency in using Ansys simulation tools, and a strong background in the design and analysis of electronic systems. Key Responsibilities: Perform EMC simulations to analyze and optimize the performance of electronic systems and components. Use Ansys tools (e.g., HFSS, SIwave, Maxwell) for electromagnetic field simulation and analysis. Develop and validate simulation models to predict electromagnetic interference (EMI) and ensure compliance with EMC standards. Work closely with hardware design teams to recommend design improvements based on simulation results. Analyze radiated and conducted emissions, susceptibility, and shielding effectiveness. Provide technical expertise in EMC testing and support troubleshooting of EMC-related issues. Document simulation methodologies, results, and provide clear recommendations to cross-functional teams. Stay updated on the latest advancements in EMC simulation tools and standards. Qualifications: PhD / Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, RF or related fields. 4+ years of experience in EMC simulation and analysis. Proven expertise in Ansys tools like HFSS, SIwave, Maxwell, or other related simulation software. Knowledge of other simulation tools like CST Studio Suite, COMSOL, or similar is advantageous. Strong understanding of electromagnetic field theory and EMC standards (e.g., IEC, MIL-STD). Experience with PCB layout design and analysis for EMC compliance. Knowledge of EMI mitigation techniques, such as grounding, filtering, and shielding. Familiarity with EMC testing setups and equipment is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
