Engineer - Purchase

Job Description

Job responsibilities: 1) Knowledge of manufactured parts like machined items, fabricated items, and sheet metal parts 2) Ability to read and understand Engineering drawings 3) Know-how of manufacturing process like machining and fabrication 4) Ability to cost manufactured parts, zero-based costing, should costing 5) Know how of suppliers in and around Pune 6) Purchasing knowledge for bought-out items like motors, pneumatics, bearings and other miscellaneous items 7) Hands-on experience on material planning and use of MRP software, BAAN/LN preferred 8) Key performance indicators are a) on-time delivery in full and b) Total cost control for project within budget 9) Collaborate with Supplier to get material as desired quality, cost and on-time delivery. 10) Collaborate with stakeholders for material requirement planning and ensure zero shortage and zero production stoppage 11) YOY saving for cost control 12) Preferred experience with packaging machinery manufacturing companies or Machine manufacturing companies 13) Understanding of material master parameters such as Safety stock, EOQ, Lead times etc 14) Knowledge of Inco terms and other logistics practices, documentation 15) Through understanding of taxes and freights 16) Follow ISO 9001: 2015 Quality management system Qualification: BE Mechanical Total experience: 8 to 10 years
