Responsibilities: 1. Engineering Leadership Oversee overall engineering activities of machining operations involving turning, milling, VTL, double-column machining, heat treatment, and special processes for nuclear components. Ensure precise machining of complex parts like with tight tolerances. Optimize CNC programming, tool selection, and work holding solutions for maximum efficiency. Expertise in working with nuclear-grade materials including zirconium, titanium, stainless steel, inconel, and exotic alloys. 2. BOM & ERP/SAP Management (MBOM, PBOM) Create and manage Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) and Product Bill of Materials (PBOM) in ERP/SAP systems. Develop and maintain engineering change control (ECN) workflows for BOM updates and revisions. Ensure BOM accuracy, traceability, and alignment between manufacturing and design requirements. 3. Assembly & Testing of Nuclear Components Provide guidelines and Lead assembly & testing teams of precision components for nuclear applications, ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer standards. Establish test procedures, acceptance criteria, and validation processes for final assemblies. Work with Quality & NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) teams to maintain inspection and certification workflows. 4. Drawing Interpretation & CAD Model Creation/Editing Proficient in reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings, GD&T specifications, and ASME Y14.5 standards. Utilize CAD tools for model creation, modifications, and manufacturing feasibility analysis. Coordinate with design and production teams for DFM (Design for Manufacturing) & DFA (Design for Assembly) improvements. 5. Process & Routings Development for Complex Parts Define manufacturing processes, work instructions, and routings for intricate components used in nuclear energy systems. Develop and document process specifications, inspection standards, and machining parameters. Implement Industry 4.0 & digital manufacturing practices for improved efficiency. 6. Configuration Management & Engineering Change Control (ECN) Establish robust configuration management (CM) processes to handle design revisions, material changes, and process modifications. Manage ECN approval cycles ensuring minimal disruptions in production. 7. Compliance with Nuclear & Aerospace Standards Familiarity with global and industry standards including IAEA, ASME Section III, ASTM, RCC-M, ISO 9001, AS9100D, and NADCAP. Drive adherence to material traceability regulations, non-destructive testing (NDT), and nuclear safety protocols. Work closely with QA/QC teams to enforce compliance with customer specifications. Requirements: Education & Experience: Qualification: Bachelor's/Masters degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering. Experience: 10+ years in machining, manufacturing, BOM management, and nuclear engineering projects. Technical Skills: Machining Proficiency β CNC Programming, GD&T, Tool Path Optimization, Heat Treatment. ERP & SAP (MBOM, PBOM Management) β Creating, updating, and optimizing manufacturing BOMs. CAD Tools Expertise β SolidWorks, NX, AutoCAD for design validations & modifications. Assembly & Testing Expertise β Precision nuclear assemblies and leak testing. ECN & Configuration Management β Driving engineering change control & design updates. Material Expertise β Zirconium, Stainless Steel, Inconel, Titanium, Nuclear Alloys. Quality & Specification Standards β IAEA, ASME Section III, ISO, NADCAP, RCC-M. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications: ASME Section III (Nuclear Component Certification). Six Sigma processes (Process Optimization). GD&T & Aerospace Standards Training. Exposure CAD/CAM Programming is an advantage Industry Exposure: Experience in nuclear, aerospace, or Defense manufacturing Key Performance Metrics (KPIs): Reduction in manufacturing lead times for nuclear components. BOM accuracy in ERP/SAP-driven projects. Compliance with nuclear regulatory standards (zero deviations). Improved First-Time-Right (FTR) rates in machining & assembly.
