Job Description As an Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing our engineering team, fostering innovation, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions You will be responsible for overseeing the development process, guiding the team, and collaborating with cross-functional departments to meet organizational goals Responsibilities: 1 Team Leadership: Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the engineering team Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, promoting a positive and productive work environment Manage team performance, conduct regular performance reviews, and identify opportunities for skill development 2 Project Management: Oversee the entire software development life cycle, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget Work closely with project managers, product owners, and other stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables 3 Technical Oversight: Collaborate with technical leads and architects to make high-level design choices and set technical standards Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure the team's technical skills are up-to-date 4 Resource Allocation: Manage resource allocation, ensuring optimal use of team members' skills and expertise Plan and coordinate staffing needs for current and upcoming projects 5 Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce best practices for coding standards, code reviews, and testing procedures Ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions 6 Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product management, marketing, and other departments to align engineering efforts with overall business objectives communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders, translating technical concepts into understandable terms 7 Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness Encourage a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the engineering team Required Skills/Experience Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Work experience 2 to 5 years (as team lead) Proven experience in software development with a focus on leadership and management Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Experience with agile development methodologies Familiarity with relevant technologies and programming languages
