About the Role An Engineering Leader with expertise in Data Warehousing, Data Management and Building Data Lakes on Cloud Technologies with solid experience of People management, Delivery management and Stakeholder Management. Roles and Responsibilities You will be responsible for leading a group of Data Engineers in building a world-class Data Analytics Platform. Collaborating with Architecture and Product Management teams in implementing Data Strategy. Delivery of on-going critical projects in Regulatory and Internal Domains like Finance and Tax. Defining Migration plan for on prem Data Warehouse on to Google Cloud Platform and coming up with the implementation and execution Plan. Provide clear direction to the engineering team on the expectations and help resolve any impediments. What you ll do Responsible for building Data Warehouse Migration Strategy and Execution Plan. Responsible for on-going Project Delivery and BAU in the On Premises Data Warehouse. Responsible for ensuring 24x7 uptime of the Data Platforms and ensuring no critical production incidents in the system. End to End Ownership I,e Design, Development ,Maintenance and Support of Data Platforms which include on-premises and cloud systems People Management - Performance Management, Goal Setting, Work allocation, resource utilization and planning the delivery. What you ll need for this role 12 - 16 years of experience in the Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence and Database Management Systems. Progressive experience with On Prem Data Warehouses, Hadoop Systems and Cloud Data Platforms. Hands on experience of migrating existing On Prem Data Warehouses on to Cloud (Preferably GCP) Well Experienced with Dimensional Data Modeling and Database Design concepts. Solid Experience with ETL/ELT methodologies and implementation of CDC frameworks. Excellent knowledge of Oracle SQL, PLSQL and Query tuning. A good programmer with expertise in Python Scripting for Data Activities Expert in one of the major cloud providers like AWS/GCP and preferably in GCP Good Knowledge of BI and Visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau or Looker. Solid experience in handling real time streaming and batch data load processes. Good experience of Messaging Platforms like Kafka and its internal architecture. Good experience with building self-serve Data Platforms on Data Mesh Architecture. Should have an engineering mindset and drive towards Automation and CI/CD pipelines Should grasp business domain quickly and solve problems for business using Technology.
