Introduction to the role The head of enterprise architecture is a strategic and critical role to the success of Lumen India. This role is responsible for leading the design, development and implementation of the enterprise architecture strategy, standards and governance across the organization. The head of enterprise architecture ensures alignment of the business and IT objectives, facilitates the adoption of best practices and emerging technologies, and fosters innovation and collaboration among the stakeholders. This is a Senior Director role who will report directly into the India Head and Managing Director. This role has the potential to change the technology landscape not just within Lumen, but in the telecom industry as such. The right candidate will have the autonomy, mastery, and purpose to define the technology landscape for Lumen and also lay down a strategic roadmap for the future of Lumen. Roles and Responsibilities Define and communicate the vision, principles and roadmap for the enterprise architecture Establish and maintain the enterprise architecture framework, methodology and tools Oversee the development and maintenance of the enterprise architecture artifacts, such as current and future state models, gap analysis, blueprints, roadmaps and guidelines Lead and coordinate the enterprise architecture governance process, including the review and approval of projects, solutions and changes that impact the enterprise architecture Provide guidance and direction to the domain architects, solution architects and technical teams on the alignment and compliance with the enterprise architecture Collaborate with the business and IT leaders, stakeholders and vendors to understand the business needs, drivers and goals, and translate them into enterprise architecture requirements and solutions Evaluate and recommend new and emerging technologies, standards and methodologies that can enhance the business value, performance and efficiency of the organization Promote and advocate the value and benefits of the enterprise architecture across the organization Develop and manage the enterprise architecture team, budget and resources Keep abreast of the latest trends, developments and best practices in the field of enterprise architecture Skills and qualifications A bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, engineering or a related field At least 15 years of experience in IT architecture, design, development and implementation, with proven leadership and management skills Expert knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, methodologies, standards and tools Strong communication, collaboration, negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with senior stakeholders and business partners Strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to align business goals and IT solutions Experience in leading and managing complex and large-scale IT transformation projects and programs Familiarity with current and emerging technologies, trends and best practices in various domains, such as cloud computing, data analytics, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, etc. Certification in relevant enterprise architecture frameworks or models, such as TOGAF, Zachman, FEAF, etc. (preferred but not required)
