Job Description

Opening with a leading Manufacturing company for their office in Dahej Role & responsibilities Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and national environmental and safety regulations. Maintain necessary EHS documentation and submit statutory reports on time. Coordinate with the Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) for applications, renewals, amendments, and clarifications related to environmental consents (CCA), authorizations, and returns. Assist in online submission and tracking of GPCB-related applications through the XGN portal. Safety Management: Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections. Identify hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Monitor use of PPE and ensure safe practices are followed on the shop floor. Environment Management: Ensure proper waste disposal, emission control, and environmental monitoring. Coordinate for the functioning and compliance of Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) / Sewage Treatment Plant (STP). Monitor and manage hazardous material handling and storage. Ensure timely online submission of waste returns and environmental data to regulatory authorities. Health & Hygiene: Conduct occupational health check-ups and promote hygiene practices. Implement emergency response procedures for fire, chemical spills, and medical emergencies. Training & Awareness: Organize EHS training sessions and toolbox talks for employees and contractors. Drive safety culture through campaigns and awareness programs. Incident Management: Investigate incidents/accidents, prepare reports, and suggest preventive measures. Maintain incident records and support Root Cause Analysis (RCA). Documentation & Reporting: Maintain EHS records, permits, and licenses, including digital recordkeeping aligned with GPCB compliance. Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly EHS performance reports. Ensure timely submission of Form IV, VI, Annual Returns, Manifest tracking, etc., as per GPCB norms. Skills Required: Strong knowledge of OSHA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other EHS standards. Working knowledge of GPCB regulations, XGN portal, and environmental consent processes. Good communication and training skills. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
