Overview The ESL Teacher at our prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) school in Jaipur will play a crucial role in shaping the language skills and cultural understanding of our diverse student body. The position is designed for the Academic Year 2025 26, focusing on developing English language proficiency among students from varied backgrounds. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating inclusive and engaging lesson plans that not only teach English but also foster a love for learning. Key Responsibilities Design and implement effective ESL lesson plans that meet diverse student needs. Develop and adapt curriculum materials to enhance language learning. Conduct engaging classroom activities to promote interactive language practice. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback. Facilitate group discussions and collaborative projects to foster communication skills. Encourage cultural awareness and appreciation through relevant coursework. Support students in developing critical thinking and problem solving skills. Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning. Integrate technology and multimedia tools into lessons to enhance learning. Collaborate with fellow teachers to align language objectives with overall curriculum. Maintain open communication with parents about student progress and school activities. Participate in curriculum development and school improvement initiatives. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated with best practices. Encourage student involvement in extracurricular activities related to language and culture. Conduct language proficiency assessments and prepare students for external examinations. Required Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree in English, Education, or a related field. ESL/TEFL/TESOL certification required. Minimum 2 years of experience teaching ESL, preferably in an IB setting. Strong understanding of the IB curriculum and educational philosophy. Proven experience working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to use digital tools for teaching and learning. Strong organizational and time management skills. Passionate about fostering a love for languages and learning. Experience with differentiated instruction and assessment strategies.
