Data Collection: Gathering and organizing data relevant to project estimates, including material costs, labor rates, supplier information, and project specifications.Documentation: Assisting in the preparation and organization of bid documents, proposals, and cost estimates by formatting, proofreading, and organizing data.Research: Conducting market research, cost analysis, and vendor comparisons to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.Software Utilization: Assisting in using estimation software or tools to input data, generate reports, and support the estimation process.Communication: Liaising with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and ensure accurate estimates.Quality Assurance: Reviewing estimates for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project requirements before submission.Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities to improve the estimation process, enhance efficiency, and streamline data management.Skills and Qualifications:Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, perform calculations, and interpret technical information to support estimation processes.Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities to manage data, documents, and multiple tasks efficiently.Attention to Detail: Thoroughness in reviewing and ensuring accuracy in estimates and documentation.Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication for interactions with team members, suppliers, and stakeholders.Software Proficiency: Familiarity with relevant software tools used in estimation (such as Excel, estimating software) and the ability to learn new tools.
