Tech Polymer Engg Minimum 60 % marks Should have been consistent & secured good percentage throughout academics (SSC, HSC, Diploma, Graduation etc) 4 Age Minimum: 22 Maximum: 40 5 Experience Minimum: 4 Maximum: 12 Preferred Exposure: Polymers, Composites, Adhesives & Conductivity Enhancing materials 6 Job Responsibilities Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Materials Engineer with expertise in polymers, composite materials, adhesives, potting and conductivity-enhancing additives . The candidate will be responsible for the research, development, characterization, and optimization of advanced materials used in automotive (ICE & EV) applications. He will contribute to the development of next-generation vehicle systems by designing and optimizing materials for improving aesthetics along with lightweighting, durability, thermal management , and electrical functionality in high-performance automotive environments. Key Responsibilities: Develop, test, and evaluate polymer-based materials , including elastomers, thermoplastics, and thermosets. Design and optimize composite systems for mechanical, thermal, and electrical performance. Develop and test adhesives & potting for structural bonding, encapsulation, thermal runaway protection and sealing applications. Integrate conductivity enhancers into polymer & adhesives systems to improve electrical/thermal conductivity with other performance parameters in check. Perform materials characterization (DSC, TGA, DMA, FTIR, SEM, tensile/compression, environmental testing, etc.). Collaborate with design and engineering teams to translate material requirements into high-performance solutions for applications such as ICE vehicles, EV battery, motor & electrical systems, lightweight body structures, and electronic enclosures. Collaborate with other cross-functional teams including RM supplier, venders for sourcing, process engineering, and quality. Conduct mechanical, thermal, and chemical testing in alignment with automotive industry standards (e.g., SAE, ASTM, ISO, OEM-specific specs). Document the findings and prepare technical reports, presentations Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and regulations in materials science and polymer chemistry. Along has awareness about relevant automotive material trends, sustainability initiatives, and compliance regulations (REACH, IMDS, etc.). Qualifications : Bachelor s or Master s degree in Materials Science, Polymer Engineering, Chemical Engineering , or related field. 4+ years of experience in polymers, elastomers, adhesives, &/or composite materials . Strong knowledge of structure property relationships in polymers, composites & adhesives. Along with raw material supplier base & basic understanding of costs . Experience with material formulation, processing (extrusion, molding, dispensing, mixing, etc), and scale-up . Proficient in lab instrumentation, data analysis, and reporting. Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills. Preferred Experience: Experience with adhesive bonding technologies (epoxy, polyurethane, silicone, etc.). Familiarity with electrically or thermally conductive materials and their integration into polymers. Understanding of composite materials , thermal interface materials , or energy storage materials . Exposure to automotive & polymer material standards and testing protocols. Exposure & understanding of automotive polymer parts, their functional performance & durability requirements Market awareness about the materials sources for different class of polymers, composite materials, adhesives, potting and conductivity-enhancing additives Work Environment: Lab and office environment with occasional manufacturing floor interactions.
