Role & responsibilities 1. Assisting lawyers in the preparing and filing of petitions, affidavits, and other written submissions before the Supreme Court, High Courts, Tribunals & other judicial and quasi-judicial authorities of the Government, for resolution of disputes. 2. Vetting, reviewing and negotiating various legal documents such as loan agreements, share purchase agreements, trust deeds, mortgage deeds, deeds of hypothecation, share pledge agreements, non-disclosure agreements, power of attorney, etc. 3. Drafting and reviewing other legal documents such as lease deeds, license agreements, legal notices / correspondences, trademark petitions, bank guarantees, indemnity agreements, escrow agreements, memorandum of understanding, etc. 4. Researching legal precedents and advising other departments within the organisation regarding correct prevailing legal position to mitigate risk exposure. 5. Preparing briefs relating to new legislations and ongoing litigations for the management. 6.Ensuring adherence to legal compliances applicable to the organization. 7.Keeping a track on trademark infringements and coordinating with external counsel for trademark notices, petitions & civil suits.
